Trade & Commodity Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

Join the Trade and Commodity Finance Operations Strategic Business Unit of MCB, a leading financial institution, to support and develop trade finance solutions for local and international clients. You will work across multiple business units, handling a range of trade finance products and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trade finance transactions in line with escalation processes, adhering to regulatory and internal policies.
• Verify and validate documents and transactions to mitigate financial and reputational risk.
• Monitor and respond to queries from customers, lines of business, and banks within defined timeframes.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other departments to address operational risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and risk management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field with at least 3 years of trade finance experience, OR a Diploma with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products, services, and documentation.
• Passion for international markets and ability to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrated accountability, results orientation, and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Trade finance products (letters of credit, standby L/C, guarantees, collections, financings).
• Document verification and validation.
• Regulatory compliance and risk management.
