Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant ensures the accuracy and completeness of treasury transactions while supporting day‑to‑day treasury accounting activities. This position plays a key role in transaction processing, reconciliation, financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor treasury deals in the Treasury Management System (TMS) on a daily basis.
• Obtain required approvals and signatures for treasury deals and track them through settlement.
• Liaise with banks, financial institutions and internal/external counterparties to ensure timely transmission and processing of transactions.
• Perform bank confirmations, daily bank transaction reconciliations and prepare outstanding transaction reports.
• Process and review daily treasury accounting entries in accordance with IFRS and ensure proper classification in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, management accounts and support external/internal audits.
• Assist in statutory financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting and tax filing.
• Supervise the Treasury Assistant and maintain static data in the TMS.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience handling treasury deal processing and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to liaise effectively with banks, financial institutions and counterparties.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
