Vulnerability and Patch Management Specialist

About the role

As a Patch Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end patch management process, run vulnerability assessments and deploy patches to protect enterprise infrastructure, endpoints, server hardware, operating systems and applications. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams so that patches are tested, deployed and monitored effectively, with minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Regularly assess vulnerabilities and prioritise patches across infrastructure, endpoints, servers and applications
• Coordinate and deploy patches and updates while minimising business disruption
• Work with the client's IT team to ensure patch policies, procedures and guidelines are followed
• Test patches for compatibility and stability before deployment
• Report on patch compliance, system performance and vulnerability remediation, and update senior leadership on progress
• Support incident response for patching-related security incidents and troubleshoot patch issues
• Ensure patch activities comply with change management processes and risk assessments
• Analyse vulnerabilities and patching gaps to propose continuous improvement plans
• Support security assessments, audits and technical evaluations of patch-related security controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years in patch management, vulnerability remediation or a similar role
• Excellent communication in French and English

Required skills

• Vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys and Nessus
• Patch deployment tools such as SCCM, WSUS and Tanium
• Managing patches for Microsoft and Linux operating systems is an advantage
