Account Officer

About the role

EO Solutions, a subsidiary of the Harel Mallac Group and a holistic service provider based in Mauritius, is looking for an Account Officer. The role covers customer accounts, payments, stock movements and record keeping within the company's ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer receipts and allocate payments accurately in the ERP system.
• Review customer accounts and release sales orders in line with approved credit terms.
• Prepare and send monthly statements of account to customers.
• Process inter-departmental stock transfers and maintain accurate stock movement records.
• Create item codes in the ERP system and allocate them to the appropriate site.
• Maintain organized financial and administrative records in accordance with audit requirements.
• Provide backup support for daily bank deposits, cash collections and petty cash reconciliation.
• Assist with debtor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare intercompany certificates and query unreconciled items.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Higher School Certificate and/or ACCA Level 1 would be an advantage.
• At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in an Accounts Clerk or similar position.
• Exposure to inventory administration, stock transfers and item-code management would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational, record-keeping and communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting, journal entries, invoicing, reconciliations and data capture.
• Good computer literacy and experience using an ERP or accounting system.
