Accounts Officer

About the role

Floreal Group, a knitwear manufacturer, is looking for an Accounts Officer to join its Finance team. The postholder reports directly to the Financial Accountant and should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, aiming to produce accurate and timely reports.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process accounting transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating outstanding items.
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany/current account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare and reconcile VAT returns and assist with other tax and statutory reporting.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents and accounting entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation, and provide documents for internal and external audits.
• Monitor outstanding transactions, follow up with departments and ensure proper filing of accounting records.
• Identify discrepancies and support improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Min HSC with Accounting; ACCA Level 1 is an advantage.
• Proven working experience in accounting; manufacturing sector experience is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
• Ability to deliver accurate results, follow procedures and internal controls, collaborate across departments, prioritise work and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Oracle, NetSuite and Excel.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
