Accountant 2 - Fund Accounting

About the role

This is a mid-level accounting position within an Investor Services group serving the administration, accounting, reporting and regulatory and compliance needs of the investment sector worldwide. It delivers comprehensive fund accounting services with minimal supervision, covering low and medium complexity funds, core accounting processes and standard cluster communications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, NAV reports and fund accounting deliverables in line with prescribed guidelines and accounting standards.
• Maintain fund books and records through daily bookkeeping, periodic financial reporting and quality control.
• Process capital calls, distributions and investor notices, keeping detailed documentation.
• Identify and report operational risks to management, carry out self-reviews and take part in quality assurance.
• Support process improvement, help document standard operating procedures and take part in training and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or ACCA Level 2 or an ACA qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund accounting or a related financial services environment.
• Advanced expertise in preparing complex financial statements, with strong knowledge of accounting standards and policies.
• Proactive, results-driven, able to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent delivery of accurate, timely work.
