Financial Planning & Reporting (Temporary Cover)

About the role

Finchoice is looking for someone to cover its financial planning and reporting function for a temporary period of 6 to 12 months, starting in November or December 2026. The role reports to Jacques Ferreira and covers month-end cost monitoring, P&L reporting, budgeting and forecasting support, and communication with cost centre owners.

Key responsibilities

• Profitability and cost control: review month-end entries, investigate discrepancies with cost centre owners and accountants, maintain the vendor-level OPEX monitoring file, prepare the P&L check file and send cost reports to cost centres with explanations for material variances.
• Month-end reporting: prepare and submit the Weaver consolidation and intercompany journal, the Flash Pack, the Consumer Lending Report, the Weaver PayStretch Report, the Felicity Pack and the detailed KPA pack, each by its deadline.
• Budgeting and forecasting: share OPEX and CAPEX templates and vendor-level cost detail with cost centre owners, support review sessions, consolidate inputs, document drivers of significant changes and provide a clean OPEX file for Hyperion upload.
• File maintenance: keep the P&L check file, Flash file and supporting files up to date and accurate.

Required profile

• Newly qualified CA (or equivalent accounting qualification).
• Some exposure to month-end close, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, able to work to tight month-end deadlines and manage several recurring deliverables.
• Confident engaging with cost centre owners, proactive, organised and a quick learner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, lookups, pivot tables and structured file building).
• Advantageous: AX and Hyperion experience.
