Accountant - Asset Manager Services

About the role

Ocorian, a fund services provider serving asset managers, financial institutions, corporates, high net-worth individuals and family offices, is hiring an Accountant for its Asset Manager Services practice in Moka. The role covers preparing and reviewing accounting records, financial statements and management accounts for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements and management accounts for semi-complex to complex client entities
• Review bookkeeping entries and reconciliations, including bank, investment and other balance sheet reconciliations
• Review VAT returns and other accounting deliverables to a high standard and within agreed deadlines
• Build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders and support ad hoc accounting projects
• Work with auditors to complete audits on time and answer accounting queries
• Partner with Assistant Managers and Managers to deliver client services and meet team objectives
• Review the work of Junior and Assistant Accountants, and support training, mentoring and knowledge sharing

Required profile

• ACCA/ACA fully qualified, or equivalent experience
• At least 4 years' experience preparing client accounts
• Desirable: finance industry or accounting/auditing experience in private equity, real estate or corporate environments
• Desirable: knowledge of UK GAAP and other accounting frameworks

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with Navision/Efront is desirable
• Well versed in Excel, Word and Outlook
