Accounting Assistant

About the role

The Accounting Assistant supports the Finance department of La Maison 20 Degrés Sud in day‑to‑day accounting operations. The role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger support, ensuring accurate financial processing and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and cost‑center allocation.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments in coordination with the Finance Manager.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Issue and record guest and corporate invoices promptly.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue accounts and support credit control.
• Assist in daily cash reconciliation from Front Office and F&B outlets.
• Support end‑of‑day and month‑end closing procedures, flagging discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly journal entries, ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare basic financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and assist with audit preparation.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Reliable, structured, proactive and a team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
