Accounts Clerk (Receivables) - 6-Month Fixed-Term

About the role

Scott, a Mauritian business established in 1830 representing international brands in FMCG, pharmaceutical and fresh produce, is hiring an Accounts Clerk (Receivables) for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role sits within the finance team and covers customer accounts, payments and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and payments
• Monitor overdue accounts and keep professional communication with customers
• Allocate customer receipts accurately and resolve payment discrepancies
• Coordinate credit notes, claims and account queries with internal teams
• Prepare and send Statements of Account and approved credit notes
• Maintain accurate records and escalate unresolved matters
• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities

Required profile

• HSC or A Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting is an advantage
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications
