Assistant Manager - Global Business Sector

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Global Business Sector unit. The role supports the Unit Manager in all operational aspects of unit deliverables, ensures high-quality service delivery, and oversees the work of unit members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage unit operations, review and monitor the work of unit members, and review timesheets to act on spare capacity versus overloaded staff
• Keep senior management informed on operational progress, training needs and business risks, and proactively identify and escalate operational risks
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with the AML Code and maintain an updated CDD list for all companies
• Attend client meetings, sign off bank account openings, and review board packs and shareholder resolutions
• Review applications for certificates of current/good standing and certificates of incumbency, and handle incorporation, restructuring, merger, re-domiciliation, transfer and winding-up documents, following up with the ROC/FSC for licenses
• Manage client relationships and service delivery for assigned clients, and appraise team members against objectives
• Take part in continuous process improvement and in plans to develop the unit

Required profile

• 7-9 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or an audit firm is an advantage
• Degree from a recognised institution; ACCA or ACA professional studies
• Client service mindset, goal-oriented, quick learner, able to work under pressure

• Good written and spoken communication, multitasking and prioritisation
