Senior Corporate Accountant

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring a Senior Corporate Accountant. The role covers preparation of management accounts and financial statements, liaison with auditors and tax computations, and overall responsibility for client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis, after completing bookkeeping in the software, with the possibility of review.
• Prepare annual financial statements in line with IFRS for audit and filing purposes with the statutory authority, at the frequency required by clients, with the possibility of review.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure audits are completed on time.
• Prepare tax computations in line with the Mauritius Income Tax Laws.
• Handle client relationships, inquiries and meetings.

Required profile

• Around 3-4 years of accounting working experience.
• ACCA qualified, or partly qualified, or any equivalent qualification.
• Excellent time and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines; a hard worker ready to put in extra hours.
• Good interpersonal communication skills; organised, accurate and willing to learn and take on new tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• IFRS financial statement preparation.
