Assistant Manager - Payments (Asset Manager Services)

About the role

Ocorian's Asset Manager Services division (Private Wealth & Corporate, Issuer Services) is hiring an Assistant Manager, Payments in Moka. You will ensure payments are processed accurately, on time and in line with compliance, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payments Team alongside Directors, Senior Managers, Managers and Client Administration teams. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the Payments Team, keeping payments accurate, efficient and on schedule
• Review and approve payment instructions, payment runs and supplier information across banking and internal systems
• Act as key contact for payment queries with Client Administration teams and manage the payments mailbox
• Ensure payment workflows run correctly in eFront and other platforms, and support automated payment and cash management processes
• Carry out post-payment checks and maintain quality control
• Monitor workloads, coach and develop team members, and support recruitment, performance reviews and absence management with HR
• Track KPIs and quality metrics, escalate risks and issues, and uphold compliance obligations, policies and internal controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in payments, banking operations or a related financial services environment
• Proven ability to supervise, coach and support team members in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Required skills

• Strong understanding of payment processes, controls and operational risk management
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
• Comfortable with digital platforms and virtual meetings
