Associate Executive – Accounting & Finance

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking an Associate Executive to join its finance team in Mauritius. You will play a key part in delivering accurate management accounts, statutory financial statements and tax computations while supporting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management accounts after completing bookkeeping in the accounting software.
• Compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for audit and statutory filing.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
• Calculate tax liabilities in line with Mauritius Income Tax Laws.
• Maintain overall responsibility for client inquiries, meetings and relationship management.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of professional accounting experience.
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities to meet tight deadlines.
• Hard‑working, willing to put in extra hours when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Organised, accurate, eager to learn and take on new tasks.
• Team‑player attitude.
