Associate Manager - Fund Administration

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is looking for an Associate Manager. The role leads a small team and covers management reporting, statutory reporting, bookkeeping review and liaison with clients and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a small team so that outputs are delivered to clients on time, in line with commitments, SLAs, policies and procedures.
• Plan, coordinate and complete management reporting and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory obligations.
• Review bookkeeping (monthly, quarterly, annual), management accounts and interim and annual statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with clients and auditors to plan audits and regulatory filings, including tax and audited accounts.
• Review and file regulatory surveys, and prepare reports, KPIs and dashboards for management.
• Manage risks, issues and complaints and escalate them when required.
• Ensure reporting complies with entity and statutory requirements, including local law and IFRS, and delegate day-to-day tasks across the team.
• Support new processes, coach and mentor team members, look for automation and process improvements, and keep the internal database and client records up to date.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting and/or finance, and/or fully qualified ACCA.
• 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in accountancy and with knowledge of IFRS.
• Team player who can motivate and influence a team, with commercial awareness.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in drafting and reviewing management accounts and financial statements under IFRS, with up-to-date knowledge of IFRS developments.
• Understanding of the regulatory and financial reporting regime.
• Knowledge of accounting software and databases, and exposure to IT systems and platforms.
• Ability to deliver client-focused solutions.
