Bellboy / Club Car Driver

About the role

One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort on a private peninsula in Mauritius, is looking for a Bellboy (also called Bellman or Club Car Driver). The Bellboy welcomes guests on arrival and departure, handles their luggage and escorts them to their rooms, acting as an ambassador of the resort under the general direction of the Front Office Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with luggage during check-in, check-out and room transfers.
• Escort guests to their rooms, explain room features and resort facilities, and give information on services, restaurants, activities and local attractions.
• Deliver luggage promptly and safely, keeping the luggage storage area clean, organised and secure.
• Help arrange taxis and airport transfers, and deliver messages, parcels and amenities to rooms.
• Open doors at resort entrances, support the Front Office during peak periods and monitor lobby and public areas for cleanliness.
• Guide guests around the resort, report lost and found items, and handle guest complaints professionally.
• Maintain porterage equipment and work areas, respect guest confidentiality, and follow health, safety, fire and security procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum school certificate or equivalent; previous hospitality, guest services or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Fluent English; French and other languages are an advantage.
• Friendly, courteous, service-oriented and able to work in a team.
• Physically fit, able to lift and transport luggage safely, with a well-groomed appearance.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail are an advantage.
