Bellman - Luxury Resort

About the role

Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on the south-eastern coast of Mauritius, is hiring a bellman through its partner Hosco in Plaine Magnien. The hotel sits in a preserved natural setting with ocean views, and the role covers guest assistance, luggage handling and vehicle maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty according to the rota, clean and tidy, wearing the correct attire and name badge.
• Inform management of guests' arrivals and departures and assist other departments when needed.
• Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently, including helping with restaurant reservations and arranging tours, excursions and car hire.
• Deliver luggage, messages and parcels on time; keep the lobby, luggage room, departure lounge, entrance and furniture clean and neat.
• Ensure sufficient beach towels are stocked at the lower reception and monitor them.
• Drive and maintain the club car according to hotel policy, and report any irregularities to the FOM.
• Follow fire, health and safety procedures, keep fire exits and stairways clear, and report equipment defects.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education, plus additional training or certificates in the relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the hotel industry.
• Proven experience in top luxury resorts.
• Fluency in English and another language, written and spoken; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
