Chef – Hotel & Spa Kitchen Lead

About the role

The Chef at Baystone Boutique Hotel & Spa leads the culinary team in delivering high‑quality dining experiences for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events. Based in Pointe aux Canonniers, this full‑time, on‑site position ensures the kitchen operates smoothly while upholding the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute seasonal menus for all meals and events.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and plating to maintain fine‑dining standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and local hygiene regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies and control food costs.
• Lead, train, schedule and mentor kitchen staff.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house teams to provide seamless guest service.
• Accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fine‑dining or Japanese/Asian cuisine.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Formal culinary training or equivalent practical experience.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
