About the role
EllGeo Re is looking for an experienced Claims Executive to join its team in Phoenix, Mauritius. The role focuses on managing both treaty and facultative reinsurance claims across African markets, ensuring effective recoveries and high‑quality client service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage treaty and facultative reinsurance claims from inception to settlement.
- Monitor recoveries and conduct technical reviews of claims.
- Coordinate with clients, reinsurers, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Provide analytical support to improve claim outcomes and recovery rates.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance claims.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- Professional insurance qualifications are advantageous.
Required skills
- Strong technical and analytical abilities.
- Effective stakeholder‑management skills.
