Compliance and Legal Operations Officer

About the role

The Compliance and Legal Operations Officer will ensure that all real‑estate development and sales activities at 2Futures comply with Mauritian laws and regulations. Based on‑site in Pointe aux Cannoniers, the role combines legal document management, regulatory monitoring, and risk mitigation to support the company’s luxury property projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain contracts, legal agreements and other statutory documents.
• Monitor changes in local legislation and advise internal teams on compliance requirements.
• Provide legal risk assessments and guidance to sales, finance and operations departments.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for specialized matters.
• Support due‑diligence processes for property transactions.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to uphold ethical and compliant business practices.

Required profile

• Law degree (Bachelor’s or higher) with a strong foundation in real‑estate and corporate law.
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory and legal compliance, preferably within real‑estate, property development or financial services.
• Admission to practice law or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and risk‑assessment abilities.
• High level of integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Pointe aux Cannoniers and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
