Data Analyst & BI Specialist

About the role

This position suits a motivated Data Analyst or BI Specialist with 6 to 8 years of experience who wants to grow quickly in their career. You will take part in end-to-end data flows, from gathering business requirements to designing and implementing robust BI solutions, working closely with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and prepare raw data from various sources, ensuring quality, consistency and reliability.
• Design and build data visualizations, reports and interactive dashboards (mainly Power BI / SSRS) to support decisions.
• Perform data extraction and transformation, and automate recurring reports and dashboards.
• Design, implement, optimize and maintain SQL stored procedures, views and queries, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Build, manage and monitor ETL processes and workflows (SSIS and other tools).
• Contribute to the design and evolution of Data Warehouses and Data Lakes, including data modelling and documentation.
• Monitor data systems and pipelines, and improve BI architecture, standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data/Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field (Master's is an asset).
• 6 to 8 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer or similar role.
• Fluent English and French.

Required skills

• Solid experience with BI and reporting tools, especially Power BI (row-level security, Power Query, DAX) and SSRS (paginated reports).
• Strong T-SQL expertise (stored procedures, performance tuning, indexing, optimization).
• Data modelling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional) and data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT concepts.
• Practical experience with SSIS and SQL Server; Databricks is a strong asset; Azure exposure is an advantage.
