Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyst to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive credit risk management, customer strategy and portfolio optimisation. You will work with internal and external data sources to support business performance, improve customer outcomes and strengthen risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build dashboards, reports and performance‑tracking tools for decision‑making.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and clear recommendations.
• Monitor and improve credit scorecards, risk models and decision strategies.
• Evaluate credit policies, underwriting criteria and portfolio health metrics.
• Support testing initiatives such as champion‑challenger models and track outcomes.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across multiple sources.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance data availability and governance.
• Explore and apply AI, machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept solutions to improve automation and efficiency.
• Present insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar role.
• Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, lending or insurance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of credit risk analytics, scorecards, predictive modelling or portfolio analysis is beneficial.
