Data Scientist – Risk Intelligence

About the role

Fintrellis Limited is seeking a Data Scientist to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to financial and blockchain data, focusing on fraud detection and risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial and blockchain datasets to identify patterns, anomalies and risk indicators.
• Prepare, validate and engineer features for modelling.
• Develop, train and evaluate supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning models.
• Use graph analysis to examine transaction flows and relationships.
• Explain model results and report findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into products, leveraging AI tools and agents where appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Open to recent graduates and early‑career professionals with relevant academic, research or personal project experience.

Required skills

• Strong foundations in statistics, probability and quantitative reasoning.
• Practical Python skills (pandas, NumPy).
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Experience with machine‑learning libraries such as scikit‑learn, XGBoost or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with graph analysis and time‑series data.
