- Teach accredited courses in your primary field (e.g. Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Commerce) and integrate integrity and accountability into the syllabus.
- Design practical teaching modules for the EMBA and undergraduate levels that help students identify and resist systemic corruption in real commercial scenarios.
- Serve as a qualifying terminal-degree holder for the University's accreditation and regional regulatory requirements.
- Manage the initial growth of the CEL, including supervision of the Sr. Manager, Public Sector, and oversee lean operations.
- Build working relationships with businesses and industry bodies to promote transparent and accountable commercial practices.
- Produce evidence-based guides or case studies showing how ethical behaviour improves long-term business stability in African markets.
- Act as a bridge between academia and the private sector, helping corporations adopt ethical frameworks that improve their commercial sustainability.
Required profile
- A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Leadership or a related field.
- Significant experience (10+ years) in senior leadership, consulting or high-level academia within your discipline.
- Evidence of leadership in ethical initiatives, such as serving on ethics committees, leading corporate governance reforms or publishing work on integrity in commerce.
- Ability to teach foundational commercial principles to undergraduates and facilitate high-stakes ethical strategy sessions for EMBA executives.
- Preference for a candidate based in Rwanda or Mauritius, or willing to relocate there after 3 months; very strong candidates from other parts of Africa will also be considered.
