Performing Arts Teacher (Primary School)

About the role

Inspired Education is recruiting a Performing Arts Teacher for the Primary School at Northfields International School, an independent English-medium school in Mauritius offering Cambridge and IB programmes. The successful candidate joins the Performing Arts Department and teaches Music, Dance and Drama to primary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, differentiating learning so every student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks in their learning.
• Work with colleagues, share best practice and pursue your own professional development.
• Take part in the co-curricular programme, from leading clubs to contributing to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships for each child's progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject, or a B.Ed.
• Postgraduate Certificate of Education or equivalent.
• At least 2-5 years of teaching Drama, Music and Dance.
• Experience in school productions.
• Experience using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
