Entertainment Dancer

About the role

RIU Hotels & Resorts is hiring an Entertainment Dancer for its resort in Le Morne, Mauritius. You will bring energy, creativity and professionalism to guest experiences through dance, live performances and resort entertainment programmes, performing in shows, themed events, musical productions and interactive activities with guests of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in daily and evening entertainment programmes, including dance shows, musical productions, theme nights and special events.
• Learn, rehearse and perform choreography according to production requirements and schedules.
• Take part in rehearsals, sound checks, costume fittings, technical run-throughs and performance preparations.
• Engage guests through interactive dance activities, pool programmes, parties, parades and resort events.
• Work with choreographers, performers, musicians, technicians and the Entertainment team to deliver high-quality productions.
• Help prepare, organise and safely store costumes, props, accessories and performance equipment.
• Follow choreography, stage directions, music cues, costume requirements and production standards.
• Support the setup and breakdown of performance areas and help keep them clean, organised and safe.
• Represent RIU professionally, following service standards, grooming standards, health and safety procedures and entertainment guidelines.

Required profile

• Professional dance training or previous experience in dance, musical theatre, live entertainment or resort shows is preferred.
• Outgoing, energetic, creative and guest-focused personality, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Confident performing and interacting with guests in a multicultural environment.
• Strong teamwork, discipline, reliability and willingness to receive coaching and feedback.
• Physical stamina, flexibility and coordination, able to perform extended routines, including outdoor performances when required.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and special events.
