Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial records for Constance Le Chaland, a luxury hotel in Mauritius. This senior finance role reports to the General Manager and works closely with corporate finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger, prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local legislation, IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing, cash‑flow monitoring, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Lead the finance department, recruit and develop staff, and act as liaison with auditors, banks and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred.
• 3‑5 years of senior finance management experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Proven ability to manage audits, tax compliance and statutory reporting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
• Experience with hotel accounting systems and ERP software.
