Financial Reporting Analyst (Level 1)

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring a Financial Reporting Analyst (Level 1). The role provides day-to-day financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP (IFRS, US GAAP, FRS 102 and LUX GAAP)
• Prepare accounting files, including checklists to support the review of financial statements
• Work with sending locations so that accounting records are accurate and transactions are reflected in disclosures
• Process review, client and audit comments and support the completion of milestones and deadlines
• Identify and close out accounting issues promptly and resolve discrepancies professionally
• Save signed copies of checklists on the appropriate drive and perform other duties supporting the Manager and team

Required profile

• No experience or 1 year of working experience
• Qualified, graduate or partly qualified accountant
• Passion for financial markets and reporting
• Well organised and able to work within tight deadlines
• Excellent spoken and written English

Required skills

• Good knowledge of IFRS and willingness to learn other GAAPs (UK GAAP, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, SFRS)
• Experience or exposure to accounting for structures holding alternative assets such as real estate, debt and private equity
• Exposure to working with teams across the globe
