Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on the south-eastern coast of Mauritius, is hiring a Food and Beverage Supervisor through its partner Hosco in Plaine Magnien. The role works closely with the Assistant Outlet Manager and the Outlet Manager to maintain high standards of service and the quality of the food served.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Assistant Outlet Manager and the Outlet Manager to maintain service quality standards.
• Know the food being served and the products correctly.
• Check safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the outlet area.
• Arrange seating and attention for groups, VIPs and special guests.
• Handle guest comments and feedback and discuss improvements with the managers.
• Assist the managers in training and developing outlet staff, evaluate staff performance and maintain discipline and grooming.
• Counsel staff according to procedures and policies.
• Assist with administration duties and attend briefings, meetings and training sessions.
• Take part in daily inventories and look after equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hotel industry; proven experience in a top luxury resort is a plus.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar position is a plus.
• Middle or secondary education; additional training or certificates in the field are a plus.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken; knowledge of a second language is a plus.
