Food & Beverage Assistant (Waiter/Waitress)

About the role

The Food & Beverage Assistant works in a vibrant resort environment, delivering high‑standard service to guests. You will support the restaurant team by preparing the service area, serving meals and drinks, and ensuring a clean, welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a clean mise en place, including polishing silverware and setting up buffet displays.
• Carry food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to the service area and serve guests according to established standards.
• Collect and dispatch soiled dishes to the dish‑washing area, and assist the Chef de Rang with their tasks.
• Take guest orders, enter them into the Touche POS system, and process billing and payments.
• Promote additional sales, recommend drinks, and ensure guests receive attentive bar service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, service stations, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Handle guest queries, forward complaints to the Outlet Manager, and ensure a safe work environment.
• Step in as lead in the absence of the Chef de Rang, overseeing tasks and maintaining service quality.

Required profile

• Form 4 or equivalent, National Certificate Level 3.
• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Team player with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to memorize menu items, chef’s specials, buffet items, and beverage lists.
