Guest Relations Officer – Shipboard

About the role

We are looking for a Guest Relations Officer to join our shipboard team, providing high‑level service to guests and crew throughout the vessel. The role combines front‑desk expertise with the ability to manage emergencies and maintain the brand voice of the ship.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism and emergency preparedness in stateroom services, including handling elevator and ADA alarms.
• Serve as the primary brand voice for guest relations, managing external calls and delivering personalized service to guests and crew.
• Respond to escalated guest concerns with empathy, active listening and a positive attitude.
• Collect and analyse metrics such as guest counts, call volume and call content to support operational decisions.
• Communicate inventory, program access and maintenance needs, taking stewardship of work areas and tools.
• Lead by example, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and respectful treatment of all guests and crew.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience as a Front Desk/Receptionist in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Shipboard guest‑services experience is an advantage.
• Fluent English with clear, courteous communication.
• Conversational proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French or German.
