Guest Services Manager

About the role

The Guest Services Manager is a key member of the shipboard management team, responsible for delivering an industry‑leading vacation experience to guests while embodying the brand’s values of friendliness, passion and commitment. This role leads the front‑of‑house operation, ensuring high standards of service, team development and guest satisfaction throughout the cruise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the Guest Services team, setting performance standards and recognizing achievements.
• Oversee daily front‑of‑house operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
• Drive training, coaching and disciplinary processes to maintain a high‑performing workforce.
• Collaborate with shipboard and shore‑side managers to address guest issues diplomatically.
• Manage cash handling, foreign exchange transactions and related financial procedures.
• Maintain accurate records using shipboard software and Microsoft Office tools.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of front‑of‑house managerial or operational experience on a cruise line.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle discreet, high‑pressure guest situations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese) are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education preferred.
• Flexibility to be assigned across the fleet as business needs change.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of shipboard cash handling and foreign exchange procedures.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
