HR Coordinator – Full Employee Lifecycle Management

About the role

The HR Coordinator will own the complete employee lifecycle for the business, working closely with the COO and aligning with the Group HR Manager to ensure compliance with Mauritian labour law and Group policies. This role requires a people‑first mindset and the ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, performance, and employee relations autonomously.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment and selection for all positions.
• Conduct onboarding and off‑boarding, including food safety, hygiene and health & safety inductions for processing‑facility staff.
• Maintain accurate employee files, contracts and records.
• Organise training, development initiatives and the annual performance review cycle.
• Resolve employee relations issues, handle grievances and support disciplinary procedures in line with Mauritian labour law.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR policy, benefits and procedure guidance to staff.
• Assist the COO with strategic workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
• Analyse HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, time‑to‑hire, training hours) and prepare HR budget reports.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, food hygiene standards and liaise with regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate payroll data with the Group HR department and monitor HR systems and databases.

Required profile

• BSc in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years solid experience in HR practices and people management.
• Experience with Mauritian labour regulations and food‑processing environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRMS/HRIS platforms.
• Ability to analyse HR metrics and generate reports.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance procedures.
