Infrastructure Owner – Technology Infrastructure Management

About the role

The Infrastructure Owner is accountable for the end‑to‑end management, stability and evolution of the bank’s technology infrastructure. This role ensures secure, resilient and high‑performing environments that support business operations and align with the bank’s transformation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑user computing devices (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and the server estate, maintaining security, stability and compliance.
• Oversee on‑premise and cloud‑hosted infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability, performance and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Conduct daily health checks, continuous monitoring and proactive issue escalation to minimise disruption.
• Execute patching and vulnerability remediation in line with group standards and timelines.
• Define and maintain backup and recovery strategies, performing regular restore testing and reporting.
• Administer Windows and Linux server environments, including deployment, configuration and operational support.
• Manage file systems, shared services and access controls, enforcing least‑privilege principles.
• Support virtualisation platforms and related infrastructure services.
• Monitor capacity and demand, planning resources to meet current and future business needs.
• Maintain accurate configuration and asset records in the CMDB.
• Plan hardware lifecycle and refresh activities, managing obsolescence and budgeting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing enterprise‑scale IT infrastructure, both on‑premise and cloud.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize incidents and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
