Internal Auditor

About the role

The Management Office of the ER Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor. The role works across diverse business segments and supports the Group's internal controls, risk management and governance. The auditor executes the three-year risk-based audit plan approved by the Audit Committee, assessing internal controls, identifying risks and recommending improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out audit assignments covering operational, financial and compliance areas across business units, using approved methodologies and templates.
• Review business processes and internal controls, then work with management on action plans to address risks.
• Prepare audit reports, working papers and audit programmes for the Senior Internal Auditor, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Produce executive summaries and reporting packs for the Audit Committee and follow up on recommendations to ensure timely corrective action.
• Collaborate with departments to understand their operations and risks, and help build a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed on regulatory developments and comply with the Group's policies and the AML-CFT policy manual.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an auditing field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or ACA is an advantage.
• Good understanding of internal audit methodologies, internal controls, risk assessment and risk-based auditing.

• Written and verbal communication in English and French.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to assess risks, analyse information and formulate practical recommendations.
• Strong organisational skills to manage several assignments and meet deadlines.
