IT Manager – Lead Digital & Security Initiatives

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its technology function in Mauritius. You will be responsible for aligning IT strategy with business goals, safeguarding data, and driving digital transformation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the IT strategy in line with overall business objectives.
• Lead the IT department, fostering innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and develop local data‑handling policies.
• Implement data governance frameworks to maintain data quality, integrity and accessibility.
• Establish and maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and enforce security policies.
• Conduct regular IT assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Drive digitalisation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Identify emerging technologies and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement digital solutions.
• Oversee IT infrastructure to guarantee high availability, performance and reliability.
• Manage IT budgets, resources and vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an IT function or department.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and information security standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.
