Junior Solutions Delivery Engineer

About the role

A global technology provider offering payment, mobile, data and identity solutions is looking for a Junior Solutions Delivery Engineer to join its Project Delivery team. The role focuses on implementing, configuring and supporting the products of the Valid Mobile portfolio, which serves the telecommunications market with solutions such as SIM cards, eSIMs and subscription management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with application deployment, including system installation, configuration and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and test applications for integration before commercial deployment.
• Provide technical support to projects and recurring services across the software and services portfolio.
• Share technical knowledge through internal forums and give technical advice during customer crises.
• Diagnose escalated customer issues and coordinate with internal departments.
• Support the product and project management teams and deliver on-premises project deliveries when required.
• Work to deadlines and on a flexible schedule when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering, or another related IT field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; flexible schedule when required.

Required skills

• Linux/Unix (Red Hat Linux preferred).
• Databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• AWS Cloud.
• Docker and high availability techniques such as load balancing, clustering, redundancy and fail-over.
• Deployment tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Integration protocols such as SOAP, XML and HTTP POST/GET.
• SMPP connections (desired); Bash scripting and Python (highly appreciated).
