Junior Systems Engineer (Wintel)

About the role

Rank Interactive, the digital arm of The Rank Group, is looking for a Junior Systems Engineer (Wintel) to join its Hosting Team in the Mauritius office. The team supports the systems that power the group's global business, including online entertainment, bingo and slot gaming, and a social gaming mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows servers.
• Support user account management in Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Help resolve issues in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint).
• Follow procedures to investigate and escalate technical incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset records.
• Learn from experienced engineers and develop technical skills.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of Windows Server and how Windows environments work.
• Interest in supporting Wintel infrastructure and growing skills over time.
• General understanding of IT hardware and how infrastructure components fit together.
• Awareness of ITIL practices (incidents, changes, problem management).

Required skills

• Active Directory (users, groups, DHCP, DNS, GPOs)
• Basic awareness of Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 tools
• Familiarity with virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V is a bonus)
• Some exposure to storage concepts (SAN/NAS or virtual storage)
• Basic ability to use PowerShell or command-line tools, or willingness to learn
