Junior Test Engineer (AI-Augmented)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience who want to grow in software quality assurance while leveraging AI‑assisted testing tools.

Key responsibilities

• Review business, functional and technical requirements and assist in creating test scenarios, cases and data.
• Execute manual tests for web, mobile, API and desktop applications under senior guidance.
• Use AI‑assisted tools for test case creation, requirement analysis and testing activities.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory and UAT support testing.
• Identify, document and track defects in Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools, verify fixes and run regression tests.
• Support API testing with Postman and conduct basic database validations using SQL.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in software testing or related IT roles.
• Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life‑cycle and Agile/Scrum.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn, adopt best practices and work with AI‑augmented testing tools.

Required skills

• Jira or Azure DevOps for defect management.
• SQL for basic database validation.
• Postman (or similar) for API testing.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools.
• Basic knowledge of AI‑assisted testing tools.
