Landfill Gas Specialist

About the role

The Landfill Gas Specialist will lead the optimisation of our existing landfill gas management system and support the full lifecycle of a Landfill Gas‑to‑Energy (LFGTE) project. This position combines engineering expertise, environmental stewardship, and renewable energy generation.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise landfill gas extraction systems to maximise recovery, operational efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Provide technical leadership in planning, designing and implementing landfill gas collection and utilisation systems.
• Support the development and delivery of the LFGTE project from concept through commissioning.
• Lead or assist in the commissioning and performance optimisation of landfill gas‑to‑energy facilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve gas capture efficiency, renewable energy generation and greenhouse‑gas reduction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations and environmental teams to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable landfill operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in landfill gas extraction and landfill gas‑to‑energy projects.
