Maintenance Electrician – Hotel

About the role

The Maintenance Electrician ensures that all electrical systems and related equipment at One&Only Le Saint Géran operate safely and efficiently. Working on a luxury resort in Mauritius, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and installation of electrical and telephone infrastructure, supporting the hotel’s high standards of guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on electrical equipment, distribution panels, control panels, meters, and cabling.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot telephone networks and related hardware.
• Respond to fire alarm calls, maintain fire detection systems, smoke and heat detectors, call points, fire hose reels, and hydrants.
• Maintain accurate records using electrical checklists and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, use protective equipment, and keep work areas clean.
• Assist external contractors and in‑house teams as needed, including weekend and public‑holiday duties.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of hotel electrical installations, pipe and cable routing, and related manuals.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Proactive attitude with strong problem‑identification skills.
• Willingness to be on call for urgent situations and to support tasks beyond routine duties.
