About the role
Imara Trust Company is seeking a Manager – Client Services to own a portfolio of global business clients and lead a small team of administrators. This senior, hands‑on position acts as the primary point of contact for clients, ensures the quality of deliverables, and supports senior management on complex matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery for Global Business Companies, Authorised Companies, trusts and related structures, including incorporations, board meetings, statutory filings, company secretarial work and FSC/MRA submissions.
- Lead, mentor and review the work of client administrators, guaranteeing high‑quality output.
- Build and maintain relationships with shareholders, beneficial owners, fund managers, lawyers and bankers worldwide.
- Coordinate with banks on account opening, KYC refreshes and transaction queries, and liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and legal counsel.
- Oversee Customer Due Diligence, ongoing monitoring and risk classification in line with the FSC Code, FIAMLA and internal AML/CFT framework.
- Identify potential issues early, flag risks, escalate appropriately and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
- Support business growth by onboarding new mandates, assisting business development and shaping scalable processes.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years experience in Mauritius’ global business sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
- Direct exposure to Global Business Companies and trust administration.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting or Management; ICSA/CGI, ACCA or STEP qualification is a strong plus.
- In‑depth knowledge of the Companies Act 2001, Financial Services Act, FIAMLA, FSC Code and FSC AML/CFT rules.
- Comfortable reviewing minutes, resolutions, financial statements and CDD files, and confident to push back when necessary.
- Excellent written and spoken English; French is an advantage.
- Trusted by clients and respected by team members as a go‑to leader.
