Manager - Fund Administration and Reporting

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is looking for a manager to oversee a small team. The role covers the day-to-day management of the team, management and statutory reporting, and liaison with clients and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a small team so that outputs to clients are high quality and on time, in line with commitments, SLAs, policies and procedures.
• Plan, coordinate and complete management reporting and statutory reporting for the structures, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory obligations.
• Review bookkeeping (monthly, quarterly, annual), management accounts, and interim and annual statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with clients and auditors to plan and coordinate work, and liaise with auditors to ensure timely audits and regulatory filings, including tax and audited accounts.
• Review and file regulatory surveys, and prepare and present reports, KPIs and dashboards for management.
• Manage risks, issues and complaints and escalate them on time when required.
• Ensure reporting complies with entity and statutory requirements, including local law and relevant IFRS.
• Support the implementation of new processes, coach and mentor team members, look for automation and process improvements, and keep the internal database and client records up to date.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting and/or finance, and/or fully qualified ACCA.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in accountancy and with knowledge of IFRS.
• Team player with the ability to motivate and influence a team.
• Commercial awareness.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in drafting and reviewing management accounts and financial statements under IFRS, with up-to-date knowledge of IFRS developments.
• Understanding of the regulatory and financial reporting regime.
• Knowledge of accounting software and databases, and exposure to IT systems and platforms.
• Ability to deliver client-focused solutions.
