Mechatronic Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Mechatronic Technician to join our technical team and support the installation, configuration, calibration and maintenance of GPS tracking and telematics hardware on customer vehicles and equipment. The role combines hands‑on field work with customer service to ensure reliable fleet‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install GPS devices, probes and other telematics equipment on vehicles and verify proper operation.
• Configure and calibrate hardware to achieve optimal performance and conduct post‑installation testing.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, updating software as needed.
• Maintain accurate job cards, technical documentation and inventory records.
• Conduct site surveys to recommend appropriate hardware solutions and assist in daily planning of technical interventions.
• Support inventory control of terminals, sensors, SIM cards and related components.
• Stay informed on new software features and hardware technologies, suggesting process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or a related field.
• Valid driving licence.
• Up to 2 years of experience in mechatronics, electronics, maintenance or related technical work.
• Previous experience with electronic or telematics equipment installation is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving, manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Customer‑oriented communication skills and a proactive team attitude.
