Park Ranger

About the role

Casela Ltd is looking for a Park Ranger to implement and run its security system through a risk assessment plan covering strength, deployment, surveillance, investigation, risk and protection. The goal is to safeguard the physical wellbeing of properties, staff and guests while meeting Casela's standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check, inspect and monitor guests and vehicles before they enter or leave the facility
• Search bags and inspect hand-carry belongings of guests and employees
• Enforce policies such as the prohibition of weapons, food, alcohol and drugs, and of people under the influence
• Keep all gates secured and screen guests at the front of house using metal detectors
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity; patrol the property on foot or by vehicle
• Work fixed security posts monitoring entry, queues, backstage areas and parking lots
• Use a two-way radio to monitor premises and enforce dress code and restricted items policies
• Help guests and staff with questions and problems while protecting company property

Required profile

• At least a school certificate
• At least one year of proven experience in security operations
• Certifications in safety and security
• Knowledge of firefighting equipment, CCTV operations, investigations, law enforcement, ride safety standards and occupational health and safety
• Ability to handle sensitive information and manage critical incidents

Required skills

• Security systems: CCTV and two-way radios
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
