About the role

The Pastry Commis supports the pastry team at Four Seasons' luxury resort in Mauritius, helping to create high‑quality pastries, desserts, breads and confectionery for guests. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a world‑class culinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, cakes, chocolates, petits fours, breads and other bakery items.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls and presentation guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place according to daily production requirements.
• Maintain strict food‑safety and hygiene standards in the pastry kitchen.
• Support the Pastry Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in inventory management and stock rotation.
