Payroll & Accounts Officer

About the role

Guardinal Security Ltd is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll & Accounts Officer to manage payroll processing and support financial operations for its security personnel and office staff in Mauritius.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll, verifying duty rosters, overtime, travel allowances and leave records.
• Generate and distribute payslips, ensuring accurate calculation of overtime, public holiday pay and allowances.
• Maintain payroll records, employee files and statutory deduction submissions (PAYE, CSG, NSF, PRGF) in compliance with the Mauritius Revenue Authority.
• Monitor client payments, follow up on outstanding invoices and record financial transactions.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, preparation of financial reports and upkeep of accounting records.
• Support HR by updating employee records related to payroll and maintain organized filing systems.
• Provide payroll reports to management as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting.
• Experience in security, construction, cleaning or hospitality sectors is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
