Production Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Production Team Lead to manage our Mauritius operations for a Swiss multinational in the food & beverage sector. You will drive production excellence, lead a diverse team, and collaborate with international stakeholders on European projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day production operations, ensuring quality, SLA compliance and on‑time delivery.
• Drive team performance against quality, productivity and operational KPIs.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, Artists and Coordinators.
• Plan and allocate resources to optimise workload distribution and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Client Services and Commercial teams to anticipate workload fluctuations and staff accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and global production standards.
• Promote adoption of systems, tools and automation technologies.
• Oversee artwork production processes, including colour separation, trapping, image resolution and barcode accuracy.
• Act as escalation point for production issues and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation, reporting and performance metrics; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Foster cross‑training, team collaboration and strong relationships with internal and international stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in production, operations or a similar environment, including team leadership.
• University degree or equivalent; Business Management, Art & Design, Printing Technology or related fields are a plus.
• Experience in packaging, printing, pre‑press or related industries is highly valued but not mandatory.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
