Public Area Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Public Area Supervisor to lead the cleaning and maintenance of public spaces at our C Mauritius resort. The role ensures high standards of guest service, safety, and presentation across lobbies, corridors, and service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Public Area staff to keep lobbies, corridors, toilets and lounges clean and well‑maintained according to Constance standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and ensure swift resolution.
• Inspect assigned sections, verify completion of work sheets, and submit hand‑over reports each shift.
• Maintain equipment, report breakdowns, and ensure health‑ and safety procedures are followed.
• Control stock levels of cleaning supplies, linen and guest amenities, and manage requisitions.
• Monitor staffing levels, conduct training, appraise performance and enforce dress and conduct codes.
• Participate in housekeeping meetings, inventories and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report any security or safety incidents to the Duty Manager or Night Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar hospitality position.
• SC holder or equivalent qualification; National Certificate Level 3.
• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
