Receptionist - Boutique Hotel

About the role

Constance Sakoa Boutik, a beachfront boutique hotel in the northern region of Mauritius facing Trou aux Biches, is hiring a receptionist through its partner Hosco. The role welcomes and greets guests in a friendly and professional manner and handles the day-to-day front office tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
• Process reservations, cancellations, amendments and room allocations.
• Provide accurate information on hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
• Handle guest requests, queries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to guest emails when required.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Maintain accurate records, follow front office procedures, handle keys/cards and documentation securely, and keep guest information confidential.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and professional appearance, and follow hotel policies, health and safety procedures and service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum School Certificate (SC) or equivalent.
• A certificate or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism or Front Office is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel or front office environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of English and French.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
